
Collaboration between LaTrobe university and
SGH – PostGraduate Allied Health Institute (PGAHI )
The School of Occupational Therapy at LaTrobe University, in the Faculty of Health Sciences, is one of Australia’s leading providers of health science education. The Bachelor of Occupational Therapy (HBOT) undergraduate programme is well established and is accredited by the World Federation of Occupational Therapists, through OT AUSTRALIA.
The School of Occupational Therapy in collaboration with SGH – Postgraduate Allied Health Institute (PGAHI) is offering an 18 month conversion program for delivery in Singapore commencing in July 2007, with a second programme commencing July 2008.
The units will be delivered by block teaching in Singapore supported by on-line material to be coordinated by staff from La Trobe University and supported by expert occupational therapists in Singapore who will provide teaching and supervision assistance.
Two core and compulsory units will be offered in a block module and online teaching and learning format. Students will also select four units from eight elective studies offered by staff from LaTrobe University who are experts in their field. Students will need to successfully complete a total of 120 credit points to be awarded the Bachelor of Occupational Therapy (HBOT) from LaTrobe University.
Students who have completed HBOT are eligible for entry into a variety of postgraduate studies at LaTrobe University.
