The workshop will provide a good introduction to biostatistical concepts, particularly in the context of clinical trials and other aspects of clinical research.
Topics covered will include summary statistics and hypothesis tests, with a heavy emphasis on teaching participants to carry out statistical analysis on their own using SPSS.
The participants will be taught on the essential statistical considerations in clinical trials. In addition, various functions of the SPSS will also be taught. For instance, using SPSS to design a database. The participants will also be trained to use SPSS for both qualitative and quantitative analysis.
The workshop will be conducted using several hands-on activities and participants will be guided through a series of exercises to reinforce their learning.
This workshop aims to equip the participants with the knowledge and skills to design a database and perform basic data processing and analysis using SPSS.
