Signing of MOU with the London South Bank University

An agreement was signed between SGH-Postgraduate Allied Health Institute and the London South Bank University in 2008 to jointly offer high quality education and training programmes in the field of Diagostic Radiogeaphy.


 












Joint Programme with La Trobe University - Occupational Therapy Degree Conversion


Launched in 2007, the institute is poised to offer its second run in 2008 with a significant growth in student intake for this successful programme.


Inaugural Graduation Ceremony for the Clinical Diploma in Physiotherapy Practice

In October 2007, the Institute's pioneering batch of students from Cambodia successfully graduated with the Clinical Diploma in Physiotherapy Practice, a 6-month intensive clinical skills upgrade residency programme. This programme developed by the Institute's team of dedicated educators is the first of its kind in Singapore and the southeast Asia.



 


Signing of Agreement with the Flinders University, Australia

 
An agreement was signed between SGH and the Flinders University in 2006 to jointly offer postgraduate
programmes in clinical rehabilitation in Singapore. These programmes will contribute towards upgrading of skills and knowledge in the field of comtemporary multi-desciplinary clincial  rehabilitation.
   


Appplied Suicide Intervention Skills Training (ASIST) Course

It is an internationally certified course offered by the Institute since 2006. The Applied Suicide Intervention Skills Training (ASIST) aims to equip caregivers and other relevant personnel with the essential competencies to recognize suicide risk and to intervene in situations of immediate suicide risks.




 

Launch of SGH - Postgraduate Allied Health Institute (PGAHI)

Offically launched in Feburary 2006, PGAHI is Singapore's first postgraduate school for allied health professionals. It will contribute towards helping practitioners from an array of allied health disciplines, such as pharmacists, therapists, dietitians, medical social workers, radiographers and psychologists, keep abreast of professional developments in their fields.
