The Block 3 Theatre Department comprises 21 operation rooms, complete with pre- and post-operative recovery facilities.
It is an acute multi-disciplinary surgical theatre complex, providing both elective and emergency operations for adult patients and some selected specialised paediatric operations.
The Department has designated facilities for the provision of a safe and comfortable environment for the performance of complex major surgical operations.
Registered and enrolled nurses are specially trained in the different designated surgical areas to provide optimum quality individualised patient care.
The Department is managed by a manager and a team of senior nursing officers, nursing officers and registered nurses, with the relevant post-basic nursing qualification, specialising in various aspects of surgical disciplines, including anaesthesia and recovery nursing.
