Attachment Programme in Obstetric Nursing

Objectives
Participants will learn about management of patients in the antenatal, intranatal and post-natal periods.

  • Conception, physiological changes in pregnancy and post-partum
  • Developent stages of fetus
  • Obstetric conditions and their management
  • Antenatal care and teaching
  • Intranatal care and types/modes of delivery
  • Safe delivery and prevention/management of complications
  • Post-natal care and teaching

For Whom

  • Registered nurses with a minimum of 1 year post-registration experience, as well as knowledge and clinical experience in handing ventilators and cardiac monitors
  • Currently working in an Obstetric ward
