Attachment Programme in Advanced Nursing Specialty
(Vascular Surgery Nursing)

Objectives
During the attachment, participants will gain in-depth knowledge in managing patients with vascular problems.

  • Vascular nursing care
  • Vascular wound care
  • Anatomy and pathophysiology
  • Pre- and post-operative teaching
  • Discharge advice and rehabilitation
  • Rounds and field visits to Surgical Ward, Specialist Outpatients Clinic and Vascular Studies Unit

For Whom

  • Registered nurses with at least 2 years of post-registration experience
  • Currently working in the general surgery or vascular surgery or diabetes or orthopaedic ward
