Attachment Programme in Advanced Nursing Specialty
(Orthopaedic)

Objectives
The program aims to provide practicing nurses with advanced knowledge and skills in the management of patients with orthopaedic condition in the following areas, namely, adult reconstruction, sports medicine and trauma.

Content

  • Role and responsibility of an orthopaedic nurse clinician
  • Explore current trends and management of orthopaedic condition in the area of specialty
  • Explore the application of coordinated clinical pathway in orthopaedics
  • Observe a pre-op education class for major surgery

For Whom

  • Registered nurses with at least 3 years of clinical experience in managing orthopaedic patients
  • Currently working in an orthopaedic unit
