• Surgical Nursing Module:
  • Anatomy and physiology of the breast, liver and pancreas, thorax, abdomen, pelvis, spine and musculoskeletal system, gastrointestinal tract system, head and neck, urological system, vascular and arterial system
  • Etiology and pathophysiology of common surgical conditions:
    • Breast cancer
    • Gastroenterology disorders
    • Head and neck disorders
    • Hepatobiliary and pancreatic disorders
    • Trauma
    • Urological disorders
    • Vascular disorders
  • Perform assessment on patients with the various types of surgical disorders
  • Preparation and post care of patients undergoing diagnostic and theurapeutic procedures e.g. ERCP
  • Pre- and post-operative nursing management of patients after the following surgery:
    • Breast surgery
    • Colorectal surgery
    • Gastroenterology surgery
    • Head and neck surgery
    • Hepatobiliary surgery
    • Urological surgery and procedures
    • Vascular surgery
