- Surgical Nursing Module:
- Anatomy and physiology of the breast, liver and pancreas, thorax, abdomen, pelvis, spine and musculoskeletal system, gastrointestinal tract system, head and neck, urological system, vascular and arterial system
- Etiology and pathophysiology of common surgical conditions:
- Breast cancer
- Gastroenterology disorders
- Head and neck disorders
- Hepatobiliary and pancreatic disorders
- Trauma
- Urological disorders
- Vascular disorders
- Perform assessment on patients with the various types of surgical disorders
- Preparation and post care of patients undergoing diagnostic and theurapeutic procedures e.g. ERCP
- Pre- and post-operative nursing management of patients after the following surgery:
- Breast surgery
- Colorectal surgery
- Gastroenterology surgery
- Head and neck surgery
- Hepatobiliary surgery
- Urological surgery and procedures
- Vascular surgery
