Medical & Trauma Resuscitation Course

Objectives
This course will enhance participants' knowledge and skills in the nursing management of medical and trauma emergencies that require immediate resuscitation.

Content

  • Initial assessment of critically-ill trauma and cardiac patients
  • ECG interpretation of arrhythmias and acute myocardial infarction
  • Management of medical and trauma emergencies
  • Organisation of a resuscitation - medical and trauma
  • Use of resuscitation equipment
  • Roles and responsibilities of resuscitation team members
  • Post-resuscitation care

For Whom

  • Registered/Enrolled nurses with knowledge of ECG recording and clinical experience of resuscitation
  • Currently working in an emergency department / ICU / high dependency unit
