The Centre for Hearing and Ear Implants is committed to provide holistic care and support for more than 2,300 children and adults suffering from hearing disorders every year. The Centre also aims to help them and their families.
A first-of-its-kind in the Asia-Pacific region, the SGH Centre for Hearing and Ear Implants has been established to meet the needs of people suffering from varying types of hearing disorders. To facilitate this, the Centre has introduced the Listen and Talk Programme. Services within this programme include screening, audiological and psychological examinations as well as medical interventions, such as Cochlear Implantation. An in-house social worker is also available to counsel patients and families. Through this programme, the Centre aims to improve the quality of life of the hearing-impaired as envisioned in the mission statement.
Our Mission:
We strive to be a world class centre of excellence in managing hearing disorders; providing high quality holistic care for patients and promoting prevention, education and research in hearing loss.
Our professionals at the Centre for Hearing and Ear Implants provide a range of services to meet the various needs of our patients.
